The challenge

Renewable energy is enjoying increased attention in the current climate context, so the business environment in this field is particularly competitive. In a sea of sameness, branding isn’t about being seen—it’s about being chosen. Both established players and newcomers to the market are making an intense effort to position themselves, and Wiren, as one of the market leaders, communicates intensely both digitally and offline. The recipe is well-known, but not easy to implement: a modern and unified visual language, high-quality graphic materials, and rapid implementation.

Rooted in the belief that clean, sustainable energy should be universally accessible, Wiren is dedicated to transforming the energy industry. Their vision is to establish renewable power as a universal right, continually innovating to reshape how the world accesses and uses energy.

Today, Wiren is a global company, connected to the modern business climate: large-scale projects, partnerships across the globe, presence at major industry fairs, and a large team. The collaboration with Rainfall began when the company was in its early stages, and we are proud to have participated in all phases of this success story.

 

Strategy

Right from the start, Wiren’s identity had to check two boxes: be consumer-friendly and position the company in an area of quasi-activism for energy sustainability. We used shades of yellow on a dark purple background for the logo and backgrounds, and impactful images complementing Wiren’s messages. Pictograms and illustrations were created to increase familiarity and help explain terms and processes in a new market, in Wiren’s early days.

For Wiren, we crafted a full-spectrum brand experience. Our work included logo design, brand identity development, stationery & marketing collateral (brochures, websites x3!), exhibition stand creation, and social media strategy implementation. This holistic approach ensured brand consistency across all touchpoints, strengthening their market presence.

Outcomes

Developing a comprehensive brand for one of the largest companies in the Romanian renewable energy industry highlighted the importance of balancing consumer appeal with sustainability advocacy, the power of visual communication in conveying complex concepts, the need for a holistic brand approach, adapting to a dynamic market, and the value of a long-term partnership.
